Falstaff Apartments
- HMS Architects is preparing design documents for the conversion of the former Falstaff brewery complex into 147 residential apartments, providing much needed affordable housing for returning New Orleans residents. These apartments will be available for low income families, as well as at market rate, in one to three bedroom configurations. The six building complex will provide housing located just minutes from the bustling downtown and French Quarter neighborhoods. The large existing windows take advantage of the views to the downtown skyline. The brewery was recently registered on the list of National Historic Places and careful consideration is being taken to maintain the historical qualities of the buildings. The project is expected to be completed by December of 2007.
